“Ooh La La”
Today was a super fun day at the EFS summer camp! We started the day with a few energy games to get rid of our morning sleepiness! Everyone’s favorite game was definitely “the bean game”! The game involved acting as different beans, so for example if Sam called out “Frozen Bean!” we’d all have to freeze! I think everyone’s favorite bean was the French Bean. To be a French bean, you have to say “Ooh La La” and give yourself a mustache with your finger! The students were saying “Ooh La La” all day, and kept begging us to play the game again! After we got all warmed up, we started heading to Shaw Communications!
Once we got there, we were given a quick tour, then we started preparing our scenes that we we were going to film in the Shaw studio! Once all of the kids were ready, we started filming the scenes, all by ourselves I might add! There were two students operating the big TV cameras in the studio, and of course, the two students performing their scene!
The rest of us sat in the control room, and watched them on a screen! After one group was done, everybody would alternate positions.
Once we were done filming all of the scenes, Shaw reporter, Tracy Koga came and talked to us about her job as a reporter. She also answered tons of questions afterward!
We then started heading back to the EFS Studio. The kids finished writing their script, and after all that hard work they were all tired, but were DEFINITELY not too tired to play another round of “The Bean Game”! So we finished the day off with some fun and laughs. And that’s a wrap for day two! Tomorrow we’re off to Midcan Productions and then we’ll start preparing for filming on Thursday!
